    Cynthia Pollich from PSU Extension will discuss the importance of talking about our mental health, and destigmatizing short term and long term issues related to it. She will also talk about the basics of QPR, an abbreviation for Question, Persuade and Refer, the intent is to identify and interrupt a mental health crisis and to direct a person to the proper care. There is a disproportionately high suicide rate in the agricultural and large animal veterinary sectors. Join us to help learn the signs, possible ways you can help, and where to get help for those who need it the most

    Hear the incredible story of Kevin Bailey, who endured a near-fatal injury when he was 18 years old. He not only managed to survive but has adapted and rehabilitated himself in the process. Now in his 30’s he currently tours the country speaking about the importance of maintaining alertness and safety in the workplace by telling his life story. The program explores how his injury not only impacted his life but the lives of everyone around him.
