The hardest part was unscrewing the nuts, A pneumatic ratchet couldn;t do it. So, I used a heavy (3/4") socket wrench with a cheater pipe to loosen them. Other than that it was routine.

Pretty straight forward job; used 3/4” drive socket with a 6 foot cheater bar. If you use this method, it helps to have it hooked up to the tractor so the entire unit doesn’t turn on you. For safety I made sure not to hook up the PTO shaft and used rail road ties to secure the cutter off the ground to get to the blade.

I ended up building a little blade stand out of scrap wood to hold the blade in place while I was tightening the lock nut on top.
