In order to remove the seal behind this lock ring the cutting pan with blades on my bush hog has to be removed fist.
It’s not an easy removal.
I had to drill and tap two 3/8” tap into the pan and blade support used a good brand steering wheel puller and a torch to heat up the blade support and little bit at a time tightening the steering wheel puller as I was heating the attached support. It took a while but it’s the best way I found to remove these stubborn blade pans.
