The auger blades undergo significant pressure during the initial cutting phase as they initiate the turning motion and push feed ingredients upward. We employ 3/4" cold-pressed steel for our flighting and a sturdy 3/8" thick tube expertly welded into place. Crafted through years of testing and design, this auger represents our most rugged and reliable iteration to date.
The angle and diameter of the flighting are meticulously calibrated to enhance mixing and processing within the tub. The pyramid shape of the Hurricane Auger distributes forces throughout the auger body, reducing strain on moving components and extending blade lifespan. Our unique design ensures maximum blade contact with fibrous raw materials, facilitating rapid and thorough cutting. The high-wear stainless steel lead edge on the sweep leaves virtually no gaps at the floor, significantly reducing the required horsepower and ensuring exceptional clean-out. The bolt-on stainless steel plow blade prevents material buildup on the sides and enhances mixing action.

Flip-up conveyors can be configured for left or right-hand delivery, granting you easy access to reach feed bunks. Our standard conveyors include stainless steel pans and rails, with numerous customization options available to suit various bulk and feed alley setups.

Penta augers are equipped with three distinct styles of deep serrated, heat-treated tungsten carbide knives. With different knife styles and mounting options, you have the flexibility to process any type of feed, from hay and silage to straw, by-products, corn, and soybean stalks. Penta mixers are the ideal choice for all operations, delivering consistent results to meet your nutritional requirements.
Planetary Drives - Unparalleled Versatility
Our drives are equipped to process a wide range of feeds, from hay to silage, corn, and soybean stalks. Power from your tractor's PTO is efficiently transferred to the drives through a two-speed gearbox, ensuring optimal mixing and thorough clean-out. Single auger mixers utilize a corner planetary gearbox, backed by a standard 3-year warranty. Twin and triple auger mixers feature heavy-duty planetary gearboxes, designed and built to our specifications and supported by a 5-year warranty.
The North American-engineered gearbox is adaptable to most mixer models, allowing for operation at either 1000 RPM or 540 RPM. This design minimizes heat buildup during the mixing process, with a two-part design facilitating heat dissipation in the lower gearbox before transferring it to the planetary.
Driveline - Efficiency and Reliability
Our PTO shafts efficiently transmit power to the mixers through splined connections, delivering optimal performance and reliability. Standard shear bolts provide straightforward equipment protection, while optional cam-style torque-limited clutches offer peace of mind and automatic resetting without the need for wear parts.
Oil Reservoirs - Enhanced Visibility and Performance
Our high-visibility oil reservoirs are strategically positioned near the gearboxes for easy monitoring and maintenance. These crystal-clear reservoirs facilitate visual checks on oil levels, while multi-auger mixers benefit from reservoirs positioned between the augers for even greater visibility and protection. Only full synthetic oil is used, ensuring stability in temperature fluctuations.
Overpass - A Platform with Added Benefits
Our viewing platform not only provides a vantage point for monitoring your mixing progress but offers much more. Accessible from both sides of the mixer, it simplifies movement and provides a safe passage from one side of the machine to the other. Handholds and mounts for oil reservoirs (on single auger models) are seamlessly integrated into the design.

Our straight-walled tub is engineered to prevent feed compaction and reduce over-processing by providing ample room for material aeration. The tub floor is crafted from 3/4" 44w high-wear, acid-resistant steel to withstand the highest abrasion and impact levels. Tub angles and baffles synergize with our Hurricane Augers for top-tier mixing results and easy clean-out. Rolled-formed tub ends and robot welding create a smooth, material-resistant curve that forms a robust bond on both sides. For mixers operating in wet feed conditions, stainless steel liners can be installed, offering an average of 10 years of additional lifespan. Liners extend 30" high for maximum protection.
Suspension - Off-Road Durability
Our models with a capacity of 600 cu ft and above feature an off-road suspension, reducing wear and tear on both the tractor and mixer. High-quality, non-imported bearings are used in our axles, with configurations available for brakes and steering options.
Massive Doors - Efficient Unloading and Cleaning
