To remove the old seal from the bush hog I drilled 2 self tapping screws into the ols seal and using a vicegrip and a flat screwdriver, I worked it out. then I used WD40 and 00 steel wool to clean the shaft smooth. I wiped it clean with a cloth and applied a thin coat of grease to the shaft. I slid the seal into place and used a 6" piece of 1.5" PVC pipe and a hammer to drive it in place, being careful to drive it evenly. I then turned the PTO to make sure I hadn't "turned under" the black seal and I was finished.
