Bush Hog 70290 is a seal, also referred to as a gearbox seal, used in gearbox assembly applications on select Bush Hog equipment. It is used on compatible rotary cutters, finish mowers, tri-deck mowers, and deck drive gearbox assemblies.
Compatible applications include select 255, 256, 257, 3108, 3126, and 3168 rotary cutters; ATH600 and ATH720 finish mowers; FTH, MTH, RDTH, TD, TDR, TH, and TM series models.

Installation Tips

This was a piece of cake! The part was the correct part. I drilled a hole in each side of the old seal, screwed in a wood screw in each, and popped the old seal right out! I quickly wire brushed and lightly sanded the PTO yoke that the seal would have to go over and slid the seal right in place. It took longer to reattach the PTO shaft than to change out the seal! Thanks, Messick's!
