The covers must be completely clean, so the gaskets adhere to them. The metal surface on the skid steer must also be very clean. Then apply a liberal amount of grease to the skid steer metal surface where the gasket will contact it. This assures the best, water-proof seal. And remember not to over-tighten the wing nuts.
