Forney F42290 ER70S-6 mild steel metal inert gas (MIG) welding wire is a high-strength, copper-coated welding wire for use on dirty or rusty steel. This MIG wire contains a high level of manganese and silicon to produce a smooth bead with less grinding. Not recommended for aluminum engines. Yellow color coding on label.

Requires carbon dioxide (CO2) or argon/carbon dioxide shielding gas, not included. Recommended polarity is direct current electrode positive (DCEP), also called reverse polarity.
