#70000-00607 Gauge Wheel

the new wheel is quite a bit narrower than the old one. I cleaned up the hub with WD and emery cloth. I added 2 additional washers to the inside of the wheel and an additional one on the outside. The wheel was quite stiff on the hub. I greased it well and mowed for a few hours and that seemed to do the trick. The od of the new wheel was about a 1/2 inch larger than the worn wheels. The other 3 wheels were set for a 3 1/2 cutting height I set the new one at 3. The shipping on the order was great. I had the part in hand in 3 days.

The hardest part was getting the old cotter pin out because it had worn so badly. After that I put a little grease on the axle, slid the new pieces on (washer, wheel, washer, collar), installed the new cotter pin, and greased it up!
