Installing this on a B2782B snowblower reduction gear shaft. If the bearing seized and scored the shaft as mine did, you will need to order both bearings with retainers, the gear and the shaft. For some reason, the factory brazed on the retainer AND the gear to the shaft. I suppose you could torch it but it's less work to just order the gear along with other parts mentioned.

The bearing needs to be able to slide over the fan drive shaft easily, otherwise it will be a bear to get things back together. Check the bearing first. If it doesn’t slide over the shaft, use a micrometer to find the high points on the shaft and lightly file them until the bearing slides without much force.
