Installation Tips

I watched some videos before tackling this. It wasn't hard, but everyone seems to have 2 seals left over. I did as well. Pay close attention which way everything is assembled (pictures are a great idea). Not hard at all if you are mechanically inclined.

Copy Messick's LA302 front loader diagram cylinder (boom) component parts page. Lay new parts out and match as your replacing old parts. Put old seals back in bag as you replace them, then you won't get them mixed up. Note 2 seals in center of part #050, 1 on top of the other. All 4 cylinders were the same on my Kubota B7500.

I found this video to be helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lZBRovAIxY He not only showed how to do the job without any special tools, he also had 2 parts left over at the end, which meant I was not concerned when the same thing happened to me.
