Tight place to get to but oil the gasket on the new filter and screw it on after removing the old filter. Very hand tight is all you need. Add oil check for leaks.

Lubricate the seal with a thin film of new engine oil. Pre-fill filter ~ halfway with new engine oil and gently spin in hands before installing.

Jack right side of tractor up and take rear tire off. Remove drain plug and have a pan big enough for three gallons of used hydraulic fluid. Put plug back in. Remove hydraulic filter and install new one after lubing the rubber seal on the filter. Put tire back on. Go to left rear of the tractor and remove the filter screen (being careful not to damage the o ring Clean screen and reinstall in reverse order. Fill with proper amount and type of hydraulic fluid. Run tractor using the hydraulics and check for leaks, then turn it off. Next day Recheck hydraulic fluid and add if necessary.
