Putting the deck back on is the hardest part. Start with the pins in the front of the deck and then align and insert the rear pins. It would probably be possible to leave the deck in place for the fitting of the shaft but would not allow for the proper inspection of all the deck components and grease fittings and belts. I now have a real comfort level that all the components are greased and working properly. Smoothest this machine has been since we bought it used.
