Difficult because frame for filter is extremely stiff when C old because of its irregular shape. Warming the unit’s bottom edge with a heat gun for 3 to 4 minutes softened the material sufficiently that it would conform to the carburetor plate and snap into place allowing the filter to seat properly and the latch to engage without excessive force. Ted in the parts department was helpful and called Koehler to be sure beating the edge material was unlikely to cause some other problem
