Use a vacuum cleaner hose and seal up the fill port. Turn the vacuum on and keep it running until you get the filter changed. I spilled almost no hydraulic fluid doing it this way and the vacuum does not actually pick up any fluid so it's fine.

I used a shop vac attached at the fill outlet & it really worked. Lost very little hydraulic fluid while changing the filter.

The tractor part that the filter screws onto came off with the old filter. I unscrewed it by hand and installed it back into the proper position.

Changed filter at 50 hours without changing fluid. Need a catch pan beneath but not a lot of fluid loss.

A rubber strap wrench should do it but mine had not been changed in years so I had to use a 30" pipe wrench to remove. Worked great as all three filters were on so tight. Soon as moved them just a touch I could put the rubber strap wrench on them. Spraying brake clean on the filters and rubber strap wrench was imperative for a good grip.
