The part itself is very easy to install. I removed my deck so I could get at everything more easily which took the lion share of the time. Also, removing the belt is a two-person job as you need someone to take the tension off and someone else to remove the belt. (It's possible to do it alone, but way easier with two). That was the most difficult part of the removal and installation. I do recommend the use of an impact driver on the pulley nut and the nuts holding the spindle to the deck. You will need a 6MMx1 grease fitting (my old one was damaged). My old spindle shaft was damaged so the upper boss spline could not be removed from the old spindle. This spindle doesn't come with the upper boss spline or the spring clip retainer. DO NOT run the machine without those. Also, I put this on a RCK60P-227Z. This part is not indicated for that deck specifically and it isn't exactly like the old part (I was told by my local dealer that Kubota doesn't sell an assembled spindle for that deck). But the dimensions and bolt patterns are the same. It bolted right up without issue (There is even a cut out in the deck for the grease fitting where the old spindle fitting was on the top of the shaft). The old pulley fit exactly, and the machine works perfectly with this spindle.
