Servicing Your BX-Series Tractor (Oils, Filters, Etc.) |
Whenever you are doing any kind of service make sure that engine is stopped.
Oil Capacity – 3.3 quarts (3.1 liters) |
Cleaning the Air Filter: |

Checking Fuel Lines and Fuel Filter |
Before inspection: Make sure that a clean plug is inserted into the fuel line when it is disconnected so dirt does not get into the fuel line.
Note: Check fuel lines annually or after every 100 hours of use, whichever comes first. If you are removing the fuel line, make sure to bleed the system. (How to bleed fuel system) |
Changing the Oil Filter |

Changing Transmission Fluid |
BX Oil Capacity – 3.1 gallons (11.6 liters) Note: Do not use tractor right after changing transmission fluid. Run the engine at medium speed for a few minutes prior to use and check oil level again. |
Cleaning Transmission Strainer |
The strainer is a metal screen that picks up metal filings before they enter the hydrostatic pump. |
Replacing Transmission Oil (Hydraulic) Filter |
