Why does my tractor have two fuel filters.

This is a common question that we get both in the parts and service departments. The answer is quite simple. Many machines have small electric inline fuel pumps to raise the fuel to the engine and help provide a chance that a diesel may self prime if run out of fuel. The first filter protects this electric pump, the 2nd protects the engines fuel injectors if that pump happens to fall appart.
