Product Features
Reach farther, cut cleaner, and handle difficult clearing jobs from the skid steer seat.
The IronCraft SBC Swing Boom Brush Cutter is built for operators who need side reach, vertical reach, and reliable hydraulic cutting power in areas that are difficult to access with a standard front-mounted cutter.
Extended Reach Design
A 96" horizontal reach and 16' vertical reach help operators clear pond banks, ditch edges, fence rows, low limbs, trail sides, and other hard-to-reach areas.
Right-Side Swing Cutting
The cutter swings to the right and can be used as a side cutter, giving operators better positioning along banks, roadsides, trails, and property edges.
High-Torque Motor
A high-torque hydraulic motor with built-in relief valve delivers dependable cutting performance while helping protect the drive system during heavy work.
No Case Drain Required
The standard SBC model is designed for 14-20 GPM hydraulic flow and does not require a case drain, simplifying compatibility with many skid steers.
AR400 Blades
Heavy 5/8" AR400 blades are built to cut brush and material up to 3" thick in demanding land clearing and maintenance conditions.
Harness Options
Universal, 7-pin, 8-pin, and 14-pin wiring harness options allow the attachment to be matched to a wide range of skid steer control setups.
Improvements & Advantages
Designed to improve reach, control, and productivity in difficult terrain.
Less Manual Clearing
The extended boom reach helps reduce the need for handheld trimming, chainsaw work, and repeated machine repositioning near banks and edges.
Better Access Along Edges
Side-cutting capability lets operators maintain fence lines, ditches, ponds, and trail edges while keeping the skid steer on firmer, safer ground.
Strong Hydraulic Protection
A built-in relief valve and maximum supply pressure rating up to 4,000 PSI help support controlled operation in tough brush conditions.
Compact Cutting Head
The 44" working width provides controlled cutting around obstacles, posts, trees, ditch banks, and uneven property boundaries.
Heavy-Duty Weight
At approximately 1,400 lbs., the SBC is built with the mass and structure needed for serious skid steer brush cutting applications.
Versatile Control Setup
Multiple wiring harness options make it easier to configure the cutter for the controls and electrical connections on your machine.
Applications In The Field
Built for banks, edges, trails, limbs, and right-of-way work.
The SBC Swing Boom Brush Cutter is ideal for property owners, land managers, municipalities, contractors, and agricultural operators who need reach and cutting versatility beyond a typical skid steer brush cutter.
Fence Lines
Clear grass, brush, saplings, and overgrowth along fence rows without constantly repositioning the skid steer.
Pond Banks
Reach out over pond edges and sloped banks while keeping the machine positioned farther from soft or uneven ground.
Right-of-Ways
Maintain roadsides, easements, ditch lines, utility corridors, and property boundaries with side-cutting flexibility.
Trail Clearing
Cut back brush, limbs, trail edges, and overgrowth for farm lanes, hunting trails, recreational paths, and access roads.
How It Works In The Field
In field use, the SBC mounts to a skid steer and uses hydraulic power to drive the cutter head while the boom reaches outward or upward. Operators can cut banks, limbs, fencerows, and side growth from a safer machine position while using the swing function to work along the right side of the machine.
- Cutting ditch banks and embankments
- Clearing pond and creek edges
- Maintaining fence lines and right-of-ways
- Trimming limbs and trail-side overgrowth
Why It Matters
Many brush clearing jobs are difficult because the material is beside, above, or below the machine rather than directly in front of it. The SBC gives operators extra reach and side-cutting control, helping reduce labor, improve access, and keep the skid steer better positioned on uneven or sensitive terrain.
- Reaches places standard cutters struggle to access
- Helps reduce handheld cutting and cleanup time
- Improves control around banks, edges, and obstacles
- Supports year-round property and right-of-way maintenance
Reach-Focused Cutting
A brush cutter for the places your standard cutter cannot comfortably reach.
With 96" horizontal reach, 16' vertical reach, 44" cutting width, 3" cut capacity, AR400 blades, and right-side swing capability, the SBC is built to help operators clear difficult areas efficiently from the skid steer cab.
Clear more difficult areas with less repositioning.
The IronCraft SBC Swing Boom Brush Cutter combines hydraulic side reach, vertical reach, high-torque cutting power, AR400 blades, and skid steer versatility for fence lines, banks, trails, pond edges, limbs, and right-of-way maintenance.
