The Lane Shark LS-4 stands as a light-duty rotary cutter designed for tasks such as clearing overgrown roadways, light land management, and property maintenance. It handles ease with materials like limbs, brush, saplings, and underbrush up to 2-3 inches in diameter. With its versatile capabilities, the Lane Shark offers 11 positions that enable vertical, offset, direct front (level), or 25°, 35°, and 45° cutting in both vertical and offset positions. It conveniently attaches to the front of any FEL tractor featuring an SSQA or JD Hook & Pin-Style attachment system, with adapters available separately to fit most other applications. Weighing just under 450 lbs, the Lane Shark LS-4 requires a tractor with a hydraulic flow rate of at least 8.5 GPM (optimal flow is 10 GPM) for optimal operation, featuring linear hydraulics. The unit is equipped with #10 ORB (O-ring Boss) inlets, necessitating a minimum inside diameter of 1/2". Please note that it's not compatible with diverter valves or skid steers, and some tractors may require a high-capacity motor. Additionally, the mower does not include hoses and couplers, which can be obtained separately from Lane Shark.
Introducing the Lane Shark LS-4, a versatile light-duty rotary cutter tailored for various applications, including the clearance of overgrown roadways, light land management tasks, and property maintenance.
Key Features:
Effortlessly handles branches, brush, saplings, and underbrush with diameters of up to 2-3 inches.
Boasts 11 adjustable positions for cutting: vertical, offset, direct front (level), or at 25°, 35°, and 45° angles in both vertical and offset configurations.
Compatible with front-end loader (FEL) tractors featuring either SSQA or JD Hook & Pin-Style attachment systems, with separate adapters available for other applications.
Weighing just under 450 lbs, the Lane Shark LS-4 offers a balanced combination of power and mobility.
Operational Requirements:
To unleash the full potential of the Lane Shark brush cutter, your tractor must provide a hydraulic flow rate of at least 8.5 GPM, with the optimal flow rate being 10 GPM. Note that hydraulics are linear, where 10 GPM equates to 100% of optimal flow, and 8.5 GPM corresponds to 85% of optimal flow, and so on.
Ensure your tractor is equipped with rear remotes or a third function. Pressure must be sourced from the remote, and return flow should be directed to the sump (NOT through auxiliary hydraulics).
The Lane Shark LS-4 comes with #10 ORB (O-ring Boss) inlets. When utilizing ORB, ensure a minimum inside diameter of 1/2".
Please be aware that the Lane Shark is not compatible with diverter valves or skid steers.
Additional Consideration:
Some tractors falling within the 15-20 GPM hydraulic flow rate range may require a high-capacity motor for optimal performance with the LS-4. If your tractor meets LS-4 specifications but falls within this flow rate range, consider opting for the high-capacity LS-4 model.
Important Note:
The mower unit does not include hoses and couplers. Explore hose and coupler options available from Lane Shark to complete your setup.
