Installation is pretty easy; it's the removal of the old bearing that is difficult. I did not want to remove the entire roller assembly and even if you do, getting a bearing puller on the end is next to impossible. I fabricated a bearing puller and welded it to the old bearing, but it still would not budge. In the end I used a Dremel tool with a reinforced cutter. It cut through it like butter in minutes. Should have done that at first and saved myself some frustration.

Because balance issues with the used SHD 74 shaft caused the bearings to get hot and melt, the shaft was bulged a bit. We had to cut it out in layers with a torch. Cut the cast shroud first in two pieces and removed. Used a floor jack to support the shaft. Chit the race and then the bearing housing off the shaft. Had to grind and smooth the shaft. Bearing and shroud install was fairly waist but had to use a persuader to get the bearings seated.
