I'm not especially mechanical, but was able to change this part out myself. Main issue was that my arms were too short, the part is just in a hard to reach spot. Also, the screws are TINY and I lost one. Messick didn't include replacement screws so I'm hoping the one will hold it. Also, the spring was too short so I ended up swapping out the old one, but it seems to be working fine.
