BUSHING

Installation Tips

Unrated (1 hour)
Use a socket to drive out old seal and bushing after removing locking ring. Before driving out bushing use a socket and mark depth on the socket that way when you drive in new bushing and seal you’ll know how far without removing from vise and looking. Lubricate the housing before driving in me bushing and seal. Use lubricant on shaft when reinstalling.

I used a punch and a deep socket to get the old one out and also to put the new one in.

Used my vise and 1-1/4” socket to press in the bushing and seal. If I’d set the socket in before removing the old bushing and seal and marked the depth on the socket, wouldn’t have had to keep removing the socket to ensure I had the bushing past the circlip groove.
