The holes were spaced correctly from one another, but the metal above the holes was taller than the space available, and the step could not be pushed up high enough to align the holes. (New Holland Workmaster 25). So it had to be welded on. The suggested screws were much smaller in diameter than the nuts welded to the tractor frame, so even if the holes had aligned, we would have had to go out and get the right bolts, and because the nuts are welded to the frame, very hard to determine the correct bolt diameter and thread type.
