Blocked up the mower unit as recommended (4 locations). After removing the access cover, slipped off the keepers and shims, blocked under the blade along the crossbar assembly on the end on which I was removing the blade. Used heat and PB Blaster but couldn't pound out one of the pins. Ended up renting an air hammer to remove the pin. Ordered 4 - 18 ga shims (.045"). Should have gotten 2 - 18 ga and 2 - 20 ga shims (.037"), so I had to make up the thinner ones.

Need extra set of hands - would be very difficult for one person to do. Took extra time cleaning shims, pins, bracket, and bolt. One hold down bolt was bent during removal.
