KW-T Trailed Rotary Tedders The Driveline
The enclosed liquid-grease lubricated gearboxes responsible for rotor propulsion are entirely maintenance-free. This perpetual lubrication provides peace of mind and extends the tedder's lifespan. The robust box-section chassis absorbs all frame-related shock loads. Positioned underneath the individual sections, the liquid-grease gearboxes exclusively power the rotors. On the KW models, these same sections serve as rotor guides, enhancing overall stability and alleviating the gearbox's load.
The Rotors
KRONE's KW and KWT rotary tedders come in various work widths and dimensions. Furthermore, rotor diameters and the number of tine arms on each rotor can be customized to meet your specific needs and requirements. With five tine arms on the smaller diameter rotor (1.34m), six on the medium-sized rotor (1.53m), and seven on the largest (1.70m/1.80m) rotor, KRONE offers the perfect rotary tedder for every user, situation, and demand.
The generously overlapping tine arms ensure uniform crop spreading for consistent patterns under all conditions. This uniform spreading enhances wilting and reduces drying times, allowing you to complete your work before adverse weather sets in.
The tines are attached to the tine arms with an eccentric plate and can be adjusted to one of three sweeping angles, facilitating excellent tedding performance in any scenario. Heavy-duty tine arms (38x4mm tubular steel) and a specialized ring attachment system ensure reliable performance even in the harshest conditions.
Central border spreading control directs crop away from the boundaries, making harvesting easier. The angle of throw can be adjusted without the need for tools. The castering wheels on the rotors operate closely to the tines, ensuring precise control. Well-thought-out details and high operator comfort enhance the efficiency of your operation. The central border spreading feature ensures no crop is wasted along the edges and allows for uphill spreading at an angle to the tractor. Rotor tilt adjustment is tool-free, allowing perfect adaptation to the current crop and yield.
