As always, Messick's provide exactly the correct part. It helps, almost mandatory, having a second person for the installation. You'll need to replace the snap rings on the pin that holds the damper in place. Initially I used 10mm, but it worked better with 8mm snap rings. I said 2hrs for installation, that is after you remove the one currntly installed. When installing the pin, MAKE SURE! you have the release lever pushed forward so it bottom in under the pin, otherwise you need to take the pin out and start over. Once installed the new damper seems works better than the original, but the original was over 20yrs old, so it may just be my memory?? Good luck!
