MS194T Features:
- Purge Pump Primer: The purge pump primer facilitates the priming of the carburetor with fuel, streamlining the starting process. It's designed to prevent the operator from flooding the machine by over-priming the carburetor. However, it's important to note that flooding the engine is still possible if the choke isn't disengaged after the engine turns over.
- Top Handle (T): The top handle model is exclusively tailored for professional in-tree use.
- Made in America: The majority of STIHL products available in the United States are produced domestically using a combination of domestic and global materials.
- Intellicarb Compensating Carburetor: The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor is engineered to automatically adjust the air/fuel ratio as the air filter becomes partially clogged or obstructed, maintaining the engine's optimal RPM. IntelliCarb™ utilizes air from the clean side of the air filter to regulate the diaphragm and fuel flow. When the air filter accumulates dirt, reducing the available air for the carburetor, the IntelliCarb™ system adjusts the fuel flow to counteract the decrease in airflow. This differs from typical carburetors that draw air from the "dirty" side of the airbox.
- Ematic Lubrication System: The Ematic™ guide bar, when used with STIHL OILOMATIC® saw chain, ensures proper lubrication and reduced oil consumption compared to conventional methods. This system is effective because it employs two strategically placed ramps in the guide bar rail, which help control the oil flow, directing lubrication to the sliding surfaces of the bar and chain links, as well as the rivets and driver holes. This design can lead to up to a 50% reduction in bar oil consumption.
- Side Access Chain Tensioner: The side-access chain tensioner offers added convenience by making it easier for users to adjust the saw chain using a bar wrench. This stands in contrast to the typical location of the guide bar adjustment screw.
- Stihl Quickstop: STIHL chainsaws come equipped with a chain stopping system known as the STIHL Quickstop® chain brake, designed to reduce the risk of injury in specific kickback situations. This mechanism is engineered to halt the chain's rotation if activated by the operator's hand or through inertia in cases where the saw kicks back with substantial force. In certain working positions, the STIHL Quickstop® chain brake can activate through inertia, promptly stopping the chain within fractions of a second.
- Master Control Lever: The Master Control Lever™ serves as a user-friendly single lever, managing the choke, starting throttle lock, and on-off switch. Before shifting the Master Control Lever™ to the choke position, the operator must pull the throttle trigger.
- Built-In Retractable Carry Ring: The integrated ring enhances maneuverability, simplifying entry and exit from trees.
