- Pre-Separation Air Filtration System: This time-efficient technology significantly enhances the efficiency of the engine's filtration system. By doubling the duration between air filter cleanings, it separates incoming air through centrifugal force, effectively ejecting heavier dirt particles before they reach the air filter. This pre-separation process results in a reduced buildup of dirt on the air filter, leading to less frequent cleaning and maintenance.
- Decompression Valve: The decompression valve, often referred to as the 'deco' or 'deco valve,' serves to release compression within the cylinder, making for easier starting. During the cranking process, it temporarily reduces the compression in the combustion chamber, lessening the effort required to pull the starter rope. It is manually opened and automatically closes once the engine ignites.
- Side Access Chain Tensioner: The conveniently positioned chain tensioner on the side enhances user-friendliness, allowing for easy saw chain adjustments using a standard bar wrench, as an alternative to the typical location of the guide bar adjustment screw.
- Anti-Vibration System: STIHL's innovative system is designed to minimize vibrations in handheld outdoor power equipment. The anti-vibration system significantly reduces operator fatigue and ensures a more comfortable working experience.
